The Massachusetts Mental Health Center was closed in order to make way for some new facilities. In order to memorialize a building that is so rich with a history of both hope and despair, and do it in a way that reflects not only the past but also the future, artist Anna Schuleit planted 28,000 flowers. She brought life and color to an establishment which, ironically, had none even though it’s a place of healing.
